JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Quality Director, the Quality Control Engineer evaluates the Quality System and the manufacturing process to provide information for quality improvement by monitoring, testing and reporting on the quality of materials and products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Promote and support the requirements and principles of the Precise Quality Management System and AS9100.
Compile and submit product qualification packages using various customer formats (i.e. APQP, HPQP, PPAP).
Submit and manage SCARS and waivers using customer software and computer portals.
Manage the receiving inspection process.
Perform final review for Harris RF parts.
Determine and implement quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable and sequential sampling methods.
Perform internal audits.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
With limited supervision and quality work ethic, functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team whose goal is to ensure that product quality requirements established by the customer have been achieved.
Must be self-motivated and take the initiative to complete tasks.
Knowledge of the PPAP, APQP and HPQP processes, and their documentation requirements.
Analytical and observation skills.
Decision making skills.
Ability to discern variances in detail work.
Knowledge regarding quality requirements and standards prescribed by our customers.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Good problem-solving abilities using systemic, logical and sequential approaches.
Proficient computer skills with an aptitude in Excel, Word and statistical software.
Knowledge of ISO /AS9100 requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of experience
Experience in technical troubleshooting
Experience with ISO/AS9100 requirements
Experience in PPAP/HPQP submittals
