Telecommunication Construction Laborer
Job Summary for Laborer:
Responsible for providing general labor skills including but not limited to shoveling, spinning a fiber reel, and pulling rope.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manually rotating a reel containing fiber optic conduit or other material
• Assisting with work site preparations to include shoveling, raking etc.
• Tending to various machines to include checking oil and fuel levels
• Manually loading and unloading materials
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 100lbs
• Assisting with traffic control and barriers
• Driving truck to/from job locations
• Typical to be standing or walking for long periods of time
• Responsible for wearing proper safety equipment while working including but not limited to hard hat, reflective vest and safety goggles
Essential Skills:
• Listening to instructions and applying them
• Writing & reading text
• Assist with cleaning storage yard area
• Stock trucks with material commonly used on a daily basis
• Assist with washing and maintain equipment in proper working order
• Assist with cleaning protective equipment
• Assist with loading of various materials onto trucks and/or trailers

• Work Environment:
• Exposure to various outdoor weather conditions
• Work near moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Risk of electrical shock and vibration
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
