About Construction Management – AECOM Tishman

Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.

Job Description

AECOM Tishman has an immediate need for a Structural Construction Project Manager to support a vast array of construction projects in across the Tishman construction portfolio.

Job Description:
• Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
• Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
• Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
• BS Civil Engineering or similar curriculum and 4 years of relevant high rise/vertical construction experience.
• Due to the nature of this position United States Citizenship is required.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualification:
• Experience in the review of civil design packages for cost, completeness, constructability, and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in building structures and providing building solutions.
• Experience working for a large general contractor within vertical construction.
• Experience in construction project management working with various subsets of construction such as bid, RFP, cost control, client interaction, etc.
• Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
• Structural engineering experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Successful candidates will have a consultative nature, problem-solving skills and flexibility to participate in various projects simultaneously.
• Construction QA/QC experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Tekla experience preferred.
• Experience in procurement.
• Experience in Procore or other construction management software is preferred.
• Experience with Blue-Beam and or Adobe PDF Pro.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Experience with weight bearing loads involving cranes or other heavy equipment.
• Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience and work location. The salary range for the position is $116,087.33 – 214,761.56 annually (exempt).
