Job Purpose
National Grid is seeking an experience product manager lead our internal Platform-as-a-Service offerings. You’ll develop the strategy and collaborate with your engineering team to build managed services that enable teams to autonomously operate their code in production with minimal overheard. This is an exciting opportunity to support a multi-national community of engineers, contribute to key business objectives and make a meaningful contribution reducing the impacts of climate change, while collaborating with a multi-national team.
Key Accountabilities

• Drinking from the fire hose on a listening tour

• Building relationships with your team, users and stakeholders
• In 90 days you are
• A bonded pair with your engineering squad
• Developing a 12+month perspective on National Grid’s managed PaaS
• 90+ you are
• Driving the long term roadmap for your squad
• Tightly collaborating with your engineering squad to develop the best solutions for your users and the business
• Leveraging your relationships across the org to influence stakeholders and unblock your team as necessary
• Making data-driven decisions based off your KPIs
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Qualifications
• 3-5 yrs Product Management exp
• You’re customer obsessed. You’re passionate about technology and enabling happy workdays for engineers
• You have a strong understanding of cloud technologies and best practices
• You’ve got a lean mindset, are highly curious and constantly learning
• You have strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• You have an ability to lead through change
More Information
Salary
$116,000 – $150,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
