The maintenance technician is responsible for creating a welcoming and helpful presence when working on a range of maintenance related repairs. Excellent communication, problem solving, and customer service skills are required to excel in this role. This role reports to the maintenance manager, this manager is responsible for scheduling work with tenants and pairing the work with the correct resource. The maintenance manager will help to optimize work to be completed for the week based on priorities that align with all of the other business units. This position requires an individual who is able to make repairs and decisions on their own, while ensuring constructive feedback is provided to their manager for continual process improvements. Being on time is a must for this role due to the importance of scheduling repair times with tenants.
List of Responsibilities:
• Conduct work based on a weekly maintenance schedule.
• High degree of customer service.
• Being presentable and courteous when working in the homes of residents.
• Ability to keep properties appearance up to a high standard.
• Ability to complete general home maintenance repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems / communicate which additional resources are needed if unable to complete on their own.
• Provide feedback that helps the business to establish better processes and procedures.

• Previous property management experience preferred.
