VFD Repair Technician – Control System Labs

Job Description

For over 51 years, Control System Labs has been an established industrial electronic repair facility supporting industries across the world. Located in Western New York, we have an immediate opening for a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) repair technician.
The candidate will be responsible for:

Diagnosing, repairing, and testing of variable frequency drives to the component level
Designing and maintaining test fixtures
Configuring, programming, and modifying drive parameters
We are looking for the successful candidate to have the following:

Background and understanding of industrial controls
Ability to troubleshoot complex analog and/or digital circuits to the component level with or without schematics
Ability to read and create partial schematics from existing circuit cards
Ability to solder through-hole and surface mount components
Understanding of how to test controls properly after repair
Minimum 2 years of related experience
2-year technical degree or equivalent experience

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:

electronic repair: 1 year (Preferred)
using a Huntron: 1 year (Preferred)
