An established and growing WNY company has an opening on first shift for a Maintenance Mechanic to provide Production Support through timely repairs and preventive maintenance that incorporates industry best practices in support of the company’s business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Must be a team player that works well with all departments and management in the facility
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail a must
• Perform PMs on production equipment
• Perform breakdown analysis, diagnostic analysis and execute corrections
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• General welding knowledge
• Three phase electrical knowledge
• Simple automotive and HD truck repairs
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Strong commitment to the safety of yourself and those around you. Understand and champion all OSHA and audit standards
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Preferred Skills:
Industrial maintenance technical education
Proficient working with 3 phase electricity
Proficient in electro mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Able to read and interpret schematics and drawings
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to understand LEAN manufacturing techniques
