Kimber Mfg., Inc. is a rapidly growing and leading manufacturer of fine sporting firearms with different plant locations. Kimber has an immediate need for an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician in our Yonkers, NY location.
Responsibilities:
• Execute tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain the CNC equipment through “Predictive/Preventive Maintenance Program” to prevent excessive downtime & interrupted schedules.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, & electrical systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC controlled machining equipment.
• Performs other functions as required.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• May be required to work in confined spaces, under, over, or inside machines.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold environments as well as outside in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to work on ladders, scissor lifts and or booms.
Experience Required:
• A minimum of five years’ experience in industrial maintenance field, ideally in a CNC manufacturing environment.
• Must have knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Knowledge of operation and repair of Fanuc Control systems a plus.
• Ability to interpret blueprints & drawings.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge or experience with PLC troubleshooting a plus.
• Experience with maintaining HVAC a plus.
Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of the job the employee works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
Position Type and Hours of Work:
• Full-time, ability to work overtime.
• Weekends and holidays may be required to meet customer demands.
Travel:
• May need to travel in between other Yonkers location as needed.
Work Authorization:
• This position requires compliance with ITAR requirement. Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.
