What you’ll do
As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll help us develop and evolve our virtual assistant capabilities. These capabilities will allow us to provide an always improving experience to our customers while reducing our costs to serve them. You’ll be responsible for the well-managed execution of the experiences prioritized by the product manager, orchestrating and supporting technical resources in efficient, impactful product delivery. Key responsibilities include the following:
• Define and manage end-to-end technical product delivery, inclusive of people, processes, and tools
• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery
• Lead articulation of requirements, objectives, and milestones for the teams you support
• Provide day-to-day activity coordination, and quality assurance for tasks
• Facilitate sprint delivery performance and progress against increment commitments
• Manage IT financials including sanctioning, budget tracking, forecasting, and reconciliations
• Apply critical and creative thinking to delivery challenges, encouraging team collaboration to problem solve
• Oversee and support vendors/external partners contributing to product delivery
• Facilitate decisions and unblock work across other National Grid teams contributing to virtual assistant development
• Support product managers in defining the vision, roadmap, and performance framework for virtual assistant offerings
• Manage risks and develop relevant mitigation approaches
• Define metrics to track impact and drive internal process improvements
What you’ll need
• 5+ years technical program management experience
• 2+ years delivering in a cross-functional, multi-squad product model
• Experience managing vendors/external partners to help drive product delivery
• A strong understanding of agile development methodologies and the product development lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving
• The ability to manage time and schedules to meet deadlines

Salary
$110,000 – $160,000 a year
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation (“DOT”) covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
