Job Description:
This position is for first shift – Monday through Thursday from 5:00AM to 3:30PM.
Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies. Inspects and may perform minor rework on defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers. Be able to see and visually inspect small parts. Be capable of lifting and moving items weighing 10-15 pounds and feel comfortable moving around the factory for around 80% of the shift.
This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus
Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Prior inspection experience a plus
• IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Certification and experience inspecting printed circuit boards a plus
• Prior Surface Mount Technology Experience and knowledge of J-Std for circuit boards a plus
• Attention to detail
• Sense of urgency to respond to quality issues
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability/ computer skills to be able to communicate issues clearly through email, log defects and look up specifications
• Ability to work with others/teams
