About the Opportunity:
• Our client is one of the largest heavy civil contractors in the tri-state area, who has successfully completed a diverse portfolio of projects spanning the major agencies in NYC (NYCDOT, NYSDOT, MTA, PANYNJ, NYCDDC). An organization that consistently ranks at the top of the ENR Top Contractors lists.
• Located in Brooklyn, New York, our client is currently looking for Construction Superintendents. You will be responsible for scheduling all of the earthwork, roadwork, or other self-performed work and coordinating field crews as well as planning and scheduling all requirements to control labor, equipment, and material costs.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
• Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedules for assigned project work
• Reviews and understands project specifications to support job setup activities
• Works with crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on job sites
• Supervises sub-contractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work
• Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plans
• Performs additional assignments per Management’s direction
Construction Superintendent Qualifications:
• 5+ Years of Heavy Civil Construction Experience Required
• 5+ Years of Construction Management Experience Required
• Certifications and/or Licensing Requirements
• Strong Written/Verbal and Presentation Communication Skills Required
