Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

TRC is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Inspectorto join our work on various construction sites throughout New York City.

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform Construction Health and Safety (HS) compliance audits and/or focused HS site inspections.
• Provide direction to client personnel on HS related activities.
• Maintain daily logs of activities related to project work.
• Have excellent people skills and a strong ability to interact and communicate with clients and contractors.
• Prepare reports.
• Travel throughout the New York City area on a daily is expected. Night or weekend work is a possibility also.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience with construction related field safety inspections.
• Experience with general aspects of construction sites is required.
• Experience performing site specific safety audits based on NY MTA Safety procedures.
• CHST or higher (e.g., ASP or CSP) is required
• 16 hour suspended scaffold and 30 hour OSHA construction safety training preferred.
• Excellent skills in technical writing and report preparation.
• Energetic, self-directed and client facing.
• Ability to make decisions and perform as an independent thinker and leader.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Relocation assistance will not be provided.
• Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical and motor vehicle records check.
• Requires a valid driver’s license

Compensation:

In accordance with New York City law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: 70,000- 115,000.Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
