JOB DESCRIPTION: Construction Foreman
ABOUT JK TOBIN: JK Tobin has been in business for over thirty years. We provide a full line of construction services including excavation and grading, underground utility installation, drainage and erosion control, landscaping, concrete, and asphalt work. We have several commercial and residential projects scheduled for this year.
POSITION: Full-time Site Foreman
PAY: Depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review project drawings for constructability and material take-off; Material ordering on JIT basis for anticipated permits; Assist with creating project schedule and budget; Solicit, review, and quantify job costs for project change orders and additions; Customer contact, introduction, communication of overall project schedule and daily/weekly activities; Operator experience preferred but not required,
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
HS Diploma or equivalent, OSHA 10 required, Valid driver’s license required, Minimum of three years of experience as a Foreman in a similar field, Machine operation experience preferred but not required, Cost tracking skills, effective communication skills and ability to interact and communicate with coworkers of all levels, must be proactive, organized, and proficient in supervising and motivating teams, strong blueprint and dirt moving experience required. Use of GPS, safe control and machine control experience preferred but not required. Will train the right person. Solid knowledge of civil site drawings and specification. Ability to perform survey and layout for grading, piping, and paving. Basic computer skills and proficient with machine/tools of trade.
