Job Description:
• Support assembly processes (improvements, general troubleshooting, and corrective actions) for new and existing products including in our configuration and shipping department:
• Electro/mechanical support of manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment. Including automation, PLCs and programming
• Fixture/ tooling design support using 3D modeling software
• Preventative maintenance and process ready
• Process details and standardized work instructions
• Communicate with Engineers and Operators to identify and implement process improvements
• Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines
• Work with Engineers to implement and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects
• Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions (PD’s)
• Support production validation builds on new processes.
• Interface with vendor and subcontractor representatives.
• Work with Operations using Lean Manufacturing Principles to establish efficient process flows
• Establish root cause and corrective actions using Six Sigma Principles and tools.
• Define and implement production system standards and provide training to Engineers and Technicians
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Willingness to work and learn in fast paced production environment
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
• Experience with IPC workmanship standards, including IPC-610 and J-STD-001
• Interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment required
• Electro-Mechanical Assembly process experience including fixture design, robotics/automation, and mechanical process equipment
• 3D Modeling Software experience (CREO / PRO-E preferred)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter and able to work successfully with minimal supervision
• Exposure to Additive Manufacturing processes and technology
• Lean Six Sigma training preferably Yellow or Green Belt certification
• Proficiency with Minitab or Simio a plus
