About this role:

In this role you will perform technical planning, system integration, design, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for systems. You will consider and evaluate alternatives accounting for similar metrics and works to define the solution meeting product schedule, performance, and cost metrics. This roll will need to decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and component requirements and generate verification criteria. Close coordination with multi-functional internal and external teams to support product development and timely launch.

Key Responsibilities:
• Define system requirements and timeline based on overall scope.
• Design thermal refrigeration system and lead system testing including but not limited to system requirements, design, fabrication, modeling, test, validation, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Use models to validate system test results
• Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.
• Define, document and test system control logic to ensure products meet customer expectations.
• Translate system requirements to component requirements and work with component suppliers to finalize design
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted drafting equipment or software.
• Provide feedback to other engineers from diverse functions on system needs.
• Manage supplier meetings for development and qualification of components
• Investigate component failures and/or faulty operation and recommend corrective actions.
• Design integrated mechanical, electrical, or alternative systems
• Close coordination with multi-functional internal and external teams to support development and launch of the system product.
• Manages configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 7+ years of Engineering experience, or Master’s Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of Engineering experience
• 5+ years’ experience in Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) system
• 5+ years’ experience in Thermal system testing and modeling and analysis
• Due to contractual agreements, must be a US citizen, green card holder, or permanent resident.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong troubleshooting abilities
• Matlab/Simulink/ other system modelling software
• CAD/Pro-E Design
• Powerpoint/Excel/Word/Project
