Your Opportunity

We are looking for Senior Structural Engineers for our New York City, NY office. An opportunity exists for highly motivated Structural Engineers, to become part of a dynamic structural group.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Oversee design development for new building structures and rehabilitation of existing building structures.
• Perform and lead projects for condition assessment of buildings.
• Perform design calculations, drawings, and details for various building design projects.
• Mentor and monitor junior structural engineers’ work.
• Review shop drawings produced by fabricators and detailers, calculations performed by other engineers, coordinate with design team, site visits to address site issues and verify existing conditions, respond to request for information, oversee testing and monitoring programs.
• Client coordination including coordinating deliveries, submittals, meeting, review comments etc. Clients include public agencies and private clients.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Licensed or ability to obtain the Professional Engineer license in the State of NY.
• Proficiency in STAAD, CSI, SAP, RAM and other structural analysis and design software.
• Ability to develop drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and MicroStation.
• Thorough understanding of design codes and agency standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and team building skills are essential to meet the expectations of this challenging position.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent, Graduate Degree highly desired.

5-10 years’ experience in the structural design for buildings. Experience with design of transportation structures is a plus.

New York City’s Pay Transparency Law: Requires employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in New York City:
• Hiring Salary Range: $117,800 – $147,200— New York City locations only. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work depending on project needs.
