Job Description

Stark Tech is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our growing Rochester, NY team! The Safety Coordinator administers Stark’s safety policies/procedures, authors the Equipment Division-specific requirements and helps ensure compliance and adherence to said policies and reporting procedures. This role provides the thought leadership and assistance with compliance for processes – including, but not limited to – contractual needs (customer’s facility safety requirements, COI and purchasing portal reporting compliance) on job sites (both initial install/construction phases and repairs/maintenance and retrofits of existing installed equipment in facilities) in warehouses (forklift, shelving, hazmat storage/recovery/disposal) over the road transportation (including towing, insurance renewals, vehicle inspections) and Stark facilities (exit lighting/fire extinguishing/alarm & security systems, slip/trip fall hazards, visitor logs, airborne disease policies).

The ideal candidate is responsible for the creation of a sustainable, continuously improving safety tactics improving the results of the entire Stark Equipment field service team, the office / warehouse support teams, and the total satisfaction of both internal and external customers.

How will you be successful in this role?

Apart from the overall scope of the role listed above, this role requires a high level of organization, diligent time management, efficient communication skills, and a strong customer focus.

What we would love to see:
• HS Diploma required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience in Risk Control, Health & Safety specific to field service industries and construction is required.
• Mechanical aptitude a plus.
• Be highly motivated and an independent thinker.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines is required.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with handheld devices such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.
• Data driven and process oriented
• Motivating and developing peers and subordinates
