MECHANICAL ENGINEER POSITION

MTR is an employee-owned company (ESOP) that rebuilds and retrofits LARGE machine tools.

We design and build new machinery as well as rebuild all makes of machine tools. We are looking to add to our talented employee-owned crew.

We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our highly collaborative and friendly team. We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with 3D modeling (preferably Autodesk Inventor), and knowledge of drafting standards including GD&T. Familiarity with machining and metalworking processes is a plus.

A MTR Mechanical Engineer designs machine tool components and systems and generates detailed drawings. A critical part of an engineer’s function is to support our assembly and machine shop department’s activities. Reverse-engineering and re-working existing systems is a regular occurrence. Multi-tasking Company projects and an ever changing priorities list is a necessity.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
