UNIVERSAL Technologies seeking a Financial Data Analyst for an onsite role in Long Island City, NY. Applicants should be prepared for onsite work in Long Island City, NY from day one.
Position: The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and collaborating on reports and analyses within the Finance Division including Job-Costing Analysis, Soft-Cost Analysis, Completion Cost analysis, and other legally mandated reports.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, advanced analytics and delivering actionable insights from data using SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
• Prepare presentation quality financial analyses and reports using SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Develop complex queries and scripts and automate periodic reports.
• Clean, manipulate, and analyze large sets of raw data.
• Understand data relationships among various tables in Data warehouse.
• Conduct business analysis and research to identify key metrics and opportunities for improvement.
• Work to ensure integration of accurate and complete data sources.
• Perform effective presentations on complex ideas that can be communicated in a simple straightforward manner.
• Write policies, procedures, and documents methodologies used to create analyses.
• Knowledge of data visualization software such as Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
