We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of Beckman Coulter equipment at customer sites.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Providing customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job: increased throughput, decreased downtime, regular preventive maintenance.
• Driving a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and with an emphasis on a “first time fix.”
• Closing service calls at the time of completion.
• Achieving annual revenue target with expected growth of 8‐10%.
• Effectively pricing and positioning service agreements on both existing and new equipment.
• Acting as a primary customer of DBS and demonstrating internal and external expertise to map improvement plans and drive sustainable improvements.
The required qualifications for the job include:
• Associates degree (mechanical, electrical, or biological degree) or military equivalent with 1+ years of experience. 3+ years of prior field service experience in a related field is preferred.
• Holding a current valid driver’s license and good driving record over the last three years. Associates who drive Beckman Coulter vehicles will follow the Danaher Company Vehicle Policy.
• Travel up to 75% of the time, often with short notice. Coverage area includes Albany/Syracuse and anything north within NY. Some travel to CT and MA.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Deductive reasoning and problem‐solving.
• Computer literacy (especially Excel, Oracle, Sales Force, and/or Pro Service).
• Automation or commercial work, including direct selling of products.
