Overview

Bergmann, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking interns to join our Electrical team in Rochester, NY for spring/summer 2023! This posting is specifically for Electrical Engineering students in the U.S. that will focus on internal building design work utilizing programs such as AutoCAD and Revit. We are looking for students who are in their sophomore year (2nd year) of their college program or higher (including Graduate students), who have a specific interest in Electrical Engineering fields. These professionals focus on the inner workings of buildings, including lighting and electrical wiring.

Responsibilities
• Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects in their respective discipline
• Collaborate with technical and design staff to complete billable real-time engineering responsibilities
• Work alongside junior and senior level engineers to execute project deadlines
• Network with current Colliers Engineering & Design professionals
• Work across multiple disciplines with other interns and professional staff

Our internships are unique in that they are work-centered, meaning you are working on real, billable client work during your internship. This is a great way to gain real life experience in consulting.

In addition to the work-centered program, we offer a robust internship program, which includes opportunities to work with other interns and learn about other areas of the business all while developing valuable communication skills and networking connections.

Please note – we do not offer any R&D, manufacturing, product development, or electronics internships at this time.

Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a related-engineering program from an accredited university or college physically located in the United States
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Prior experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Building design is highly preferred
• Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior internship experience is a plus
