JOB SUMMARY
The Controls Engineer is part of a cross-discipline engineering team, responsible for the successful and on-time design and completion of electrical control system integration projects on various industrial automation systems. They work closely with Han-Tek s project managers, mechanical engineers, and installation teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads controls engineering design efforts through concepting, design, programming, testing, and commissioning efforts per project requirements
Develops design documentation aligned and traceable with project contractual requirements
Execute initiatives supporting our automation strategy, manage operating workflows and progress continuous improvement opportunities.
Effectively delegates work to controls and mechanical engineers
Interface with customer engineering and end-user contacts during project design and implementation cycle
Develops PLC, Robot, and HMI programs and applications
Develops FAT and Field Installation documentation
EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor s Degree in Electrical, Controls Engineering or Electrical, Controls Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience, required
4+ years in the design of automated material handling systems and robotic handling systems, required
Gantry, Overhead, and Stacker Crane programming and commissioning experience, preferred
Palletizing, case, and custom conveyor programming experience, preferred

AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical design software
Rockwell Software RSLogix 500, 5000, FactoryTalk View ME/SE programming software
SIMATIC Step 7 / TIA Portal / WinCC programming software
PowerFlex 520/750 Series VF Drives, Kinetix Servo Drives
Siemens G120/S120 drive platforms
Cognex Data-Man Identification & InSight Vision systems
Fanuc Robot Controller programming and commissioning
Fanuc Handling Tool, Fanuc Roboguide
ABB, KUKA, and Yaskawa Robot Programming & Commissioning
Inductive Automation and Wonderware HMI/SCADA software development platforms
Beckhoff PLC Programming experience a plus
Supervisory PLC control systems
Keyence Barcode Scanner and Vision Systems
