Job Description

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager this position will work on projects that range from machine troubleshooting to improving the office processes. The Manufacturing Engineer is self-motivated and can work efficiently with minimal direction and still meet deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the operations process
• Collect and analyze data
• Lead implementation/process improvement/machine installation teams
• Communicate with management on project status
• Specify and recommend new machinery and upgrades
• Create work instructions, standard operating procedures, etc.
• Design facility layouts
• Train employees in new process and equipment
• Follow all Safe Work Practices as outlined by Safety Coordinator
• Perform any additionally assigned duties as requested.

Position Prerequisites:
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field
• 3 – 5 years of related work experience; or
• An equivalent amount of education and experience

Position Requirements:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and to speak effectively before groups of employees.
• Possess basic math skills, such as the ability to calculate figures such as percentages, proportions, and fractions, draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with routine problems in variable situations, and make some discretionary decisions.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees or managers.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift as necessary for data collection or training.
• Strong data analysis and spreadsheet skills required.
• Functional knowledge of power tool use and simple fabrication tasks
• Mechanical knowledge and technical drawing skills preferred.
• Follow procedures, specifications and guidelines for the position.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to analyze information to make critical decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written or verbal).
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Have good team working skills
• Exercise accuracy in all functions of the position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday
