Job Overview
We are looking for a multi-disciplined electrical engineer to join the R&D team to create future medical IoT devices that advance and augment capabilities of our unique cardiovascular monitoring system. You will help us rapidly prototype and evaluate new concepts, and support transition to an FDA regulated product development process. You must be a hands-on team player with a passion for technology, attention to detail, and strong design skills. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, able to work independently, thrive in a startup environment, and be open to taking on new responsibilities. This position is based in Rochester, NY.
Key Responsibilities
• Rapidly translate high level requirements into concepts for iterative test and refinement
• Design and prototyping of integrated electrical, mechanical, and software systems
• Utilize engineering principles, statistics, mathematics, and other quantitative and qualitative methods to support research and development of medical devices.
• Support medical device design verification & validation testing.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, developers, and designers
• Document requirements, design, and test results consistent with the quality system
• Contribute to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
Required Skills and Experience
• BS in electrical engineering
• 3+ years of professional experience developing electronic systems
• Proficient with analog and digital system design including schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred)
• Proficient with sensor integration including analog signal conditioning
• Understanding of hardware test methodologies and general design for testability
• Place a high value on quality and attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills: Technical writing/presentation, verbal, interpersonal
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to work in multi-functional teams
Desired Skills and Experience
• Design and implement embedded code using C/C++
• Familiarity with Python and PyQT
• Competency with statistical analyses
• Medical device design and production
• Advanced degree in a technical field

Compensation:
Base salary range of $85,000 – $105,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Our compensation consists of base salary and equity as well as a generous benefits package.
