Weight lifting chains are great for increasing your top end strength through progressive resistance. Attach it to your bar for bench, quats, dead lifts, curls etc or drape it over your shoulders bandoleer style for pull up's, dips, lunges or virtually any exercise. They are great for your stabilizer muscles and will give you and incredible core!!! Not just for power lifters anymore. Total weight includes the two lengths of chains, the 4ft leader chains and the connecting carabiners. We do not carry clamping collars - besides being stupidly expensive, they defeat the purpose of progressive resistance. From Louie Simmons "Attach the chains to the bar with a lightweight chain to adjust where the heavy chain will leave the floor and contribute to the weight on the bar." He suggests that half the chain should be on the floor when racked and, as you lift, the load of the chain gets heavier as it coils off the floor until all the chain is off the floor at full extension. Using a clamping collar will take all five feet of chain off the ground when racked thus no progression. Weights of chains could vary by several pounds depending on the grade of chain available by our suppliers. If shipping to an apartment or multi unit condo we will require a signature confirmation.
