Description: CUBRC is a leading Research, Development, Testing and Systems Integration company specializing in the areas of: Data Science & Information Fusion, Chemical, Biological & Medical Sciences, and Aerosciences.
Position Summary
Candidate would be a member of the CUBRC Aerosciences group wind tunnel operation staff involved with the day-to-day program testing. This work would involve, but no limited to, the setup and checkout of test equipment and diagnostics, collection and reduction of results, and the analysis of results. Candidate would participate in the design of experiments prior to testing and the reporting of testing results after completion. Candidate would participate in improvements and enhancements to the Aerosciences testing capabilities and test techniques.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support and/or direct Wind Tunnel testing in the areas setup, acquisition, reduction, and analysis of test results.
• Participate in or lead capability and testing technique development efforts.

Salary Range:
• $80,000 – $100,000 dependent upon education, experience and certifications.

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
• Formal education in Engineering or Science fields, i.e. Aerospace Engineer, Aeronautical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Physics and related fields.
• Candidate must have an understanding of the concepts of forces and moments, thermodynamics, and fluids at an undergraduate level.
• Strong computer skills with familiarity using spreadsheet, documents and presentation software.
• Experience with test equipment, signal generators, power supplies, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Candidate must be prepared to occasionally work extended hours.

Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Engineering or Science fields, i.e. Aerospace Engineer, Aeronautical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Physics and related fields.
• Experience with development software such as MATLAB and have the ability to author and/or modify code.
• Experience in the hypersonics fields either as an intern or co-op or during entry level position.
• Experience with design and execution of ground test experiments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Other Requirements
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to meet eligibility requirements to obtain a government security clearance.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
