The Opportunity

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Software Engineering Intern who will create Automation Tools designed to aid in the Testing of Transfusion Medicine Diagnostic equipment. This position is onsite in Rochester, NY, and will be part of the 2023 Summer Internship Program.

The Responsibilities
• Create Automated Test Tools in C#
• Simulate LIS messages to and from Instruments
• Read XML Files to create relevant messages and read messages
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Job Deliverables
• Software Automation Tools
• Documentation for those Software Tools
• The intern will present a poster on his/her work.

The Individual

Required:
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate program majoring in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Minimum Year in school: Sophomore or beyond
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Object Oriented Programming Language
• XML
• Database Experience
• Interns should be prepared to fully commit to the start and end dates proposed
• Interns are expected to provide their housing, travel, and any other requirements necessary for their participation in this program
• Ability to accept employment without sponsorship

Preferred:
• C#, C++, Java, SQL Server

The pay range for the Internship Program is between $16/hr to $30/hr, The pay rate will be determined by the year in school, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate. Benefits are not included for this position.
