Senior Software Integration Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Integration Engineer to join our team.
This position is for world-class engineer who wants to take location-data understanding to a new frontier, where it connects with real-world behavior.
We love building regression models, classification algorithms, data visualizations, and geo-spatial clustering, within our location-data platform, which processes terabytes of data daily to generate the fundamentals of location-data products.
We combine billions of individual pieces of information into a comprehensive dataset of hundreds of millions of places in the US and Canada.
From restaurants to bars, stores to parks, hotels to colleges, our database spans every type of point-of-interest across North America.

This role utilizes a strong background in distributed systems to help build the core online and offline platforms that drive the data services for our Developer and Consumer-facing products.
We want you to be comfortable running with your own ideas, and ready to drive developers team on a bleeding edge platform.
We use a variety of tools, technologies, and languages to build software (e.g., Scala, Hadoop, Python, Spark, Luigi, EMR, Databricks, Ruby, etc.).
Senior Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing unique solutions to make our customers successful.
Strong problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions are a must.

The role will be to:
• Design, and develop data-products, with adjoining data-pipelines, engineered to high standards of performance, efficiency, and reliability
• Formulate data-management strategy and data-warehouse architecture to provide single source-of-truth datasets for internal and external clients
• Ensure data quality, with testing on a product and pipeline level
• Implement automation of the data pipelines & software releases
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements for data-products
• Provide some ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products

Preferred Qualifications:
• Integration of back- and front-end modules with Rest API.
• Build and Deployment of application on all environments.
• Professional development experience with Python, Ruby, Spark
• Strong experience in building ETL/Data-pipelines.
• Experience with services like (EMR & S3) on AWS
• Background with Data-Modeling, Data-Access and Data-Warehouse technologies.
• Understanding of Machine-Learning algorithms, and computational modeling
• Experience with distributed systems:
EMR, Hbase, Cassandra, and RDBMS (PostgreSQL).
• Experience in UNIX/Linux environments with Bash/Python scripting.
• Exposure to schedulers e.g., Luigi, Azkaban, Oozie and Airflow is a Plus.
• Experience in an Agile Scrum software development environment.
• BA/BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field.
