Working hard behind the scenes building and supporting our platform are exceptional people-from our large engineering and product teams to our fast-growing sales, supplier, and member support orgs, to our data, marketing, and operations teams.

Hotel Engine seeks a React Native developer to join our engineering team. You will work with our dedicated mobile team using our software to help shape the future of mobile development for company. The team is small but focused on shipping quality product and we want to add a self-starter who truly enjoys software development, product ownership, solving problems, and learning something new every day.

The ideal candidate loves React Native, front-end development, and has the ability to make long-term architectural decisions and identify refactoring needs within that space. The right candidate wants to be the go-to resource for their areas of responsibility and share what they know and learn with teammates.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of front-end web development

3+ years production experience with React Native

Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals

A passion for giving users a polished, highly usable experience

Experience with high volume, publicly facing production applications

Preferred Qualifications:

An eye for good UI/UX. You will be working with a dedicated designer, so you do not need a design background, but if that’s within your skillset then all the better.

A desire to mentor mid-level team members.

Development experience with Typescript

Experience building and shipping applications with Expo

A strong understanding of React Hooks and other modern Javascript/React APIs

Experience with Redux and/or React Query

The ability to write integration test for a React Native application using React Testing Library and Jest

Cash compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $135,000 – $160,000/year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.

Remote Opportunities:

This role is eligible for remote work and you can work from anywhere in the U.S.
