Station 28 is hiring a Senior Network Technician to join our growing technology team. The Network Technician supports Station 28’s clients in a variety of IT related tasks. As a Network Technician your day will never be the same. You’ll offer virtual and onsite support for our Buffalo based clients in areas of data center maintenance, desktop & server support, mobile device management, and more. You will support end users and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues, supporting the users in the resolution of the problem.
The Senior Network Technician’s main responsibilities include:
• Strategic IT support for our existing client base, both remote and on site.
• Performing general on-site data center maintenance duties as needed.
• Desktop support for platforms including Windows, Mac and Chromebook.
• Server support for all current generation of Windows Servicer, as well as Linux based appliances.
• Mobile device management for both Apple and Google platforms
• Basic hardware and printer support and troubleshooting duties
• Designing and implementing new solutions
• Providing support as part of the team completing customized projects for our clients
• Interfacing with clients regularly and providing clear communication regarding IT related tasks.
• Project management
What we are looking for:
• 5+ year(s) experience maintaining Windows based technologies
• 1+ year(s) experience maintaining Max OS X based technologies
• Familiarity with Apple IOS
• Thorough understanding of Windows domain functionality.
• Thorough understanding of Office 365 deployment and management
• Thorough understanding of wired & wireless networking concepts, protocols and industry standards.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering preferred.
• Ability to function independently and under pressure, and to structure time flexibly across many projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage projects, deadlines as well as mentor team members.
