Our team works with well structured data sources to understand the underlying data through exploration, answer specific domain questions or perform analysis related to those questions. They produce dashboards/visualizations and reports to explain and support findings, integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements and develop data cleansing routines to standardize “messy” data or to align new data feeds to existing and expected formats and values.

Data Analytics includes filing datasets to understand the data prior to utilizing it in downstream analytics, tools, dashboards and products, having a continuous eye for automating existing reporting and analysis and communicating insights and findings to business stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of a degree, demonstrating, in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates extensive level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
• Java 8 or Python design and development;
• Using Application frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud;
• Building Microservices REST API and Event Driven Design;
• Utilizing Knative, Docker (Docker compose, yamls, etc) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, AKS, EKS etc.);
• Possessing experience with Kafka, Apache NiFi; and,
• Understanding and experience with database design, creation, manipulation and query of Relational, and NoSQL datastores.

Demonstrates extensive level abilities with, and or proven record of success in the following areas:
• Designing and developing large scale distributed data processing systems/applications or large scale internet systems utilizing Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript etc.;
• Developing and maintaining Knative, Docker and Kubernetes deployments using yamls, HELM, Kube-operators;
• Using monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana;
• Creating Web User Interface (UI) with use of recent javascript libraries like HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS); and,
• Working with Agile Methodologies and developing code using object oriented design, implementation and maturation to take advantage of the language feature sets.
