Who We Are

Live Shop Ventures is developing a next-generation shopping platform that is aiming to revolutionize the livestream shopping space. Based in New York, we enjoy the autonomy to imagine, incubate, and scale a new business model with ample backing, resources, and expertise from Qurate Retail Group. Our goal is to create the most entertaining and authentic shoppable moments for Gen Z consumers and the brands they love. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Tech Lead, as a Full Stack Engineer you will be help build the main product that defines the livestream shopping experience we are creating. You will develop a multi-sided platform to change the way people shop today – bringing together sellers, consumers, and hosts in an engaging, entertaining way.

As you are building our overall tech product, you will contribute across the technology stack, including database design, shared services, front-end frameworks, application development and deployment. You will be part of the team responsible for building the product roadmap and will help define the strategic product vision for our team.

You will be located at our New York City offices and required to be onsite weekly. At this time work visa sponsorship is not available.

Your Impact
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other team members on acceptance criteria, technical feasibility, and product feature details
• Independently develop, configure & test code during feature development, but still collaborating with other developers and Tech Lead to solve technical challenges and remove any impediments
• Participate in design review sessions to weigh in on technical feasibility, acceptance criteria and testing for features
• Promote product development with engineering excellence and best coding practices
• Demonstrate knowledge and practical application of test-driven development using unit, integration, and automated end-to-end tests
• Help and unblock teams by working through and removing unnecessary activities such as code compilation, test execution and artifact promotion across environments leading to production.
• Coach peers on tech team, specifically with code reviews and pair programming
• Support the technological architecture of the product and the user experience
• Collaborate with team members to ensure digital vision and products align within team strategy and requirements – working with the design and commercial teams
• Work iteratively with team on improvements to the SDLC processes, estimating backlog items during refinement and planning sessions

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Required technical experience: JavaScript (TypeScript preferred), React, Java, NodeJS, REST APIs, Git
• Experience with code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, deployment, scalable applications, application security
• Understanding of technical architecture, application landscape, test and deployment automation and IT environment, and tools used in development, deployment and testing
• Technical experience: BDD, TDD, Azure DevOps, automated testing framework (e.g., Appium, Cucumber
• Experience in Agile Development (XP, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
• Comfort with making architecture decisions at a team and product level
• Experience aligning an organization on complex technical decisions
• Mentor mindset, with the goal of growing and maximize the team’s potential
• Always look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution delivery methods and timelines
• Belief in a culture of trust and complete transparency
• Align and integrate well with architects, designers and other partners

Candidates looking for an exciting start-up environment and growth opportunities with significant earning potential – based on the success of the new organization – this is the company for you! Our compensation package is a competitive combination of base salary, short-term annual bonus, long-term cash-based incentives and a Founder’s Bonus for initial team members. Base salary for this role ranges from $105,000-$120,000 plus the annual and long-term variable incentives noted. Salary ranges are general guideline only, and actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and geographic location and business and market conditions. This compensation package provides rewards to you over-time based on company performance and personal success.
