Job Title:Elixir Engineer
Location: Remote (Anywhere in the USA)
Duration:12+ Months
Strong Elixir Engineer preferably in an eCommerce environment
Advanced Elixir programming experience is a must
The team is primarily involved with backend Java
Role Summary
As an Engineer, you’ll work independently or with other engineers to develop user experience-focused e-commerce features or provide support for existing systems.
Responsibilities
• Work independently or with other engineers to develop user experience-focused web applications, or provide support for existing systems
• Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, stakeholders, and clients to understand business goals, analyze requirements, formulate solutions, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the end product
• Assist in scoping, estimating, and planning projects
• Participate in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
Preferred Experience
• 3-5 years of overall software development experience
• At least 2 years of production experience with Elixir & Phoenix
• Experience developing backend services and JSON APIs to power single-page web applications
• Experience designing APIs
• Experience working with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience working with a cross-functional team
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience building web apps with Phoenix LiveView
• Solid understanding of OTP
• Experience working in a remote environment
