We are looking for an experienced, strategy-driven technology and operations leader who has a track record of building technology roadmaps with high functioning teams, is customer obsessed, has a passion for flawless execution, data driven, hands-on, & is interested in being part of a team building a “best in class” food fulfillment planning operations.

The Director of Technology for Fulfillment Planning role will be within the Fulfillment Strategy organization and is responsible for creating and building the technology tool suite vision and roadmap for our next generation production scheduling and labor management across all of the fulfillment centers in North America.

You will work directly with our Vice President of Fulfillment Strategy. Your time will be spent between building and executing the strategic technical vision that will enable us to move our labor planning and execution tools to a web-based platform. While also creating a positive workplace culture across the network, mentoring the leadership team, and driving continuous improvement specifically across the US labor & planning technology and strategy team. This person will have a seat at the table with executive enterprise leaders and be given the opportunity to make strategic decisions that will impact the company as a whole.

Specific job duties:
• Lead the US network in setting the technical vision and tool suite roadmap for production & labor planning across all sites and brands in NA
• Establish the current & future state tools that optimize our planning methods
• Work with operational leaders to understand the barriers to labor planning and clearly builds solutions to address those barriers and minimize our costs while maintaining world class quality and SLA standards
• In collaboration with the Product Supply team, drive continuous improvement to increase production quality, cost efficiency, and enhancement of our customers’ experiences
• Optimally connect all material management inputs to meet production requirements
• Provide analysis and modeling support for supply chain initiatives, including process optimizations and proposals
• Perform root cause analysis of business processes and system problems and recommend solutions
• Coordinate with the plant operations team, procurement and supply chain management to evaluate any changes needed in the long-term production plan
• Provide data-driven insights during production and operations planning meetings
• Track variances to long term plan and lead continuous improvement objectives
• Create next generation tools to the local site leaders that support labor management & planning

Key Competencies:
• Technical background in software development coupled with operations experience would be ideal. Having the ability to build the labor planning tool suite with a consideration for operational impact and performance is optimal.
• Has led technical roadmaps creation and execution in regards to labor & production planning tools development in a multi-unit and brand environment would be ideal.
• Has led implementation & management of workforce management & planning software
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and activities effectively in a production environment.
• Coding capabilities or management of SDEs across multiple languages a strong plus
• Strong / expert level spreadsheet data table management, financial modeling desirable
• Supply chain and operations experience highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to establish and improve processes
• Ability to drive projects to closure and deliver results
• Ability to lead, teach, and present data at both the operational tactical and executive levels
• Ability to travel 20-30% of the time to meet team members and understand impact of tools at the tactical levels across NA
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the editing, oversight or preparation of technical reports, and the presentation of information to government entities and various committees
• Strong organizational skills

Minimum Job Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science technical degree, Masters a plus or extensive experience in technical development roles
• 5+ years of technical education, web software development, and business planning experience

Education, Experience and Certifications:
• Bachelor of Science technical degree, Masters a plus or extensive experience in technical development roles
• Advanced Excel, Nielsen, Klaviyo, Python, R, Shopify, SQL, Tableau, Adobe CS, skills a plus
• Prior experience with labor & production scheduling in a manufacturing or e-commerce setting preferred
• APIC CSCP certification preferred
