Located in NYC, we design life insurance products that can be purchased entirely digitally and can be easily embedded into distribution platforms or with agents who sell insurance. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our quickly growing Capabilities Team. Candidate should have deep understanding of system architecture & design.

The key responsibility will to build core front and back-end functional capabilities, as well as enhance and optimize currently existing web-applications and platforms.

Requirements

Requirements
• Expert knowledge of Python (Flask), TypeScript and React application with knowledge of Redux, and at least a desire to learn more about other programming languages.
• 3+ years of professional software design and development experience on multi-tiered enterprise applications.
• Proficient in data access techniques for both relational and NoSQL databases
• Works well within the constructs of an agile development process, including SCRUM, Unit Testing, Continuous Build, and Integration and suggests improvement to this process
• Quickly learns new technologies; proactively seeks to improve
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently
• Works well in a fast-paced team environment; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Competent in python or a similar language.
• Competent in development tools: VSCode, WebStorm, vim etc.
• Familiar with databases and Big Data technologies
• Competent in other tools: Jira, Git, GitHub Actions, etc.
