Job Description

This role offers a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for in-person collaboration.

Consumer, Business and Digital Banking – We work with our retail banking, business banking, consumer lending, mortgage and digital banking businesses to define far reaching technology strategies to evolve our customer experiences, to make us easier to do business with and to deliver solutions that provide real value. This includes all core consumer deposit, loan and payment processing and servicing platforms; all core channel systems for retail branches, ATMs and call centers; custom built online and mobile banking platforms; and mtb.com and marketing ecosystem capabilities.

Overview:
Responsible for the management of all activities related to successful planning, documenting, and system testing within the Quality Control team and of all work performed by the Quality Control Analyst team, whether by the request of the client, internal department or the result of a problem related to an application. Provide detailed direction and perform specialized analysis and research of system testing to solve any scope problem or enhancement. Provide support and assistance to the Quality Control Manager in managing and developing staff members, creating departmental reporting, and attending meetings when the Quality Control Manager is not available.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead work on multiple projects with multiple groups of internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Development, Business partners and testers to develop effective test strategies and plans.
• Communicate the test approach and construct/present test status to stakeholders.
• Work with cross functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training and employee appraisal processes.
• Assist in managing the Quality Control budget at the project and team levels.
• Assist in the development of and adherence to Quality Assurance best practices, standards and processes.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

• Creating, maintaining and executing automated test scripts for websites and web form applications (front and back end of forms)

• Frameworks: Test Driven Development Framework and Page Object Model Design Pattern
• Software: Selenium, BrowserStack, XUnit, JUnit and Maven

• Jira for ticket tracking

Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:
May assign/coordinate work of a team of analysts in a team environment.

Education and Experience Required:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ application testing experience,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ application testing experience

Understanding of various test approaches, including white box, black box, load testing and regression testing
Demonstrate a clear understanding of QA processes and methodology

Education and Experience Preferred:
Software testing certification
Familiarity with Agile software development framework
Familiarity with Project Management practices
Previous leadership experience
