Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Buffalo, NY. The Associate Embedded Software Enginee r will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Amherst Systems in Buffalo, New York, an organization focused on development and production of state-of-the-art Simulation Systems solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to, and integrated with, engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements
• Apply the appropriate Software Engineering standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, and display systems – Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel
• Travel to customer site for installation of our software applications upon completion (dependent on program phase)

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field and a minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Experience with software engineering principles. (C, C++)
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
• Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with RedHat or Centos Operating Systems
• Experience with Qt
• Experience developing software in JAVA or ADA programming languages.
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript, CSS, REST APIs
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience with Git/Github
• Experience with GPU Shader programming
• Experience with OpenGL

Salary Range: $61,900.00 – $92,900.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
