The purpose of the Field Engineer is to provide onsite technical support and ensure Advance2000 customer’s infrastructure is running efficiently. The Field Engineer is expected to travel 75-100% to several different customer sites.
• Assess/Maintain customer’s network(s) and infrastructure(s)
• Direct customer interaction to understand problems, requests, recommending solution, implementing solutions, and maintaining communication with customer throughout the process
• Consult customer on current IT needs and propose roadmaps for corrections and upgrades
• Knowledge of Windows Infrastructure including Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, File Services, and Print Services
• Knowledge of security requirements such as Antivirus, Anti-Malware, Anti-Ransomware, AAA, SSL, TLS, HTTPS, MFA, and more.
• Support Advance2000 products and services already in place such as servers, switches- telephony and data, firewalls, thin clients, desktops and laptops
• Troubleshoot and support both data and telephony environments
• Hands-on implementation of network enhancements, changes, upgrades, and installations
• Work closely with Service Desk associates to resolve issues
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity including routers, switches, firewalls, wifi and VPN Tunneling.
• Knowledge of VMWare including horizon client, virtual desktops, and connectivity requirements.
• Participate in R&D efforts to both enhance and develop services and products
• Document troubleshooting and maintenance procedures for new services and products
• Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system, and make purchase recommendations
• Attend vendor training and regularly review and study technical journals to keep up with changes in the technology
• Develop and write procedures for installation, use, and troubleshooting of communications hardware and software

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
